Two weeks of New beginnings

29 October 2009

Buenos y Frescos dias.

For those of you who are just joining the conversation, I am currently living in the Capitol of the DR, Santo Domingo, battling thousands and thousands of vehicles every day...most without break lights, turning signals, properly adjusted tires, and very few bungee cords to hold down towering loads of junk. Most of the stop-lights do not work because whole sections of the energy grid are wiped out for hours at a time each day. This makes daily life hazardous, so please pray for my safety, and that God would give me peace as I travel about in my little Chevy Tracker, meeting with youth from all over the city, seeing the generation that will bring the Lord back raised up...

ministry contacts have been splendid...though our team is in transition, the doors are opening wide, and we are seeing cool things.

Since last week, I have been invited to participate in the planning sessions of the Baptist Youth organization (JUBAD),
and the door is open to me to share my thoughts and dreams for sustainable community development in the hands of nationals. Through this same network, I have been invited to give my testimony of how Christ has been working in my life up until this point on a christian radio station dedicated to the Youth of Santo Domingo. All this is wonderful, exciting, and confirming.

Please pray that I would be rooted in Christ. That my grounding would be in Him, not in a vision or a plan. Christ alone, Christ alone.
