Dear friends,
Wo nderful news!
Yesterday morning a new friend, a 17 year-old named Freddy, accepted the Lord Jesus into his life. Hooray! The Nuñoa team is rejoicing and celebrating, and looking forward to discipling him over the next eight weeks or so.
Tomorrow the Barnabus team heads to Chupa, where we will spend several days with the team there. Please pray for Lidman, Karen and Lisa as they work in Chupa and prepare the ground for new churches to be born.
The Lord is good.
I ask you to continue praying for me as I seek the Lord´s leading for the next academic year.
I am completely burnt out on school and cannot see returning as of yet, but I want to follow the Lord on this one...not my own emotions.
I want to thank all who have commented on my entries and to those who have sent me personal emails. You must know that these are sustaining to me... hearing from you is so encouraging.
Special thanks to Johan in Brussels who has definately kept up his end of the bargain and is keeping me accountable, and to Jon in Southern Illinois, who writes me about daily life and helps me put the difficulties of life in Perú in perspective.
Please keep writing!
I love you all...
Bethy, where are you??

Alli... I am so glad you are having a great time and that posts and things are keeping you motivated! I have been praying hardcore for you! About the Alpaca meat... its hard for me to believe! lol. We have friends in WI who have an alpaca farm, but they raise them for their fiber ( fur) rather than meat, I could neve imagine eating them ! they are SOOO cute! I have pictures of them on my facebook in the album from mem. day weekend.
I pray you are well, and how great is the Lord indeed! I am so excited that young man has chosen Christ! YEA!!
Love you lots!
Chrissy

Alli! you ate an alpaca! that's like amazing. I'm a lttle jealous. I'm gonna try to eat a llama in bolivia me thinks... hmmmm.. I know they eat monkey in chapare... anyways, know that I'm praying for you down there, my fellow south american sojourn. I met a guy in the airport today who is headed to Lima and Cousco (sp?) to work with a couple orphanages. If you meet an aussie with a sweet accent working at an orphanage tell him hi for me. Be found in the rivers of Christ.
ALLI!!!
My parents said YES! that I could go to mexico with you guys for Christmas break! I actually have been really bored lately, and looking into tickets ( to try to get em cheap because its so early...its a sucess!) I found a round trip one for 378. I was thinking ... Dec 17- Jan 11. would that be super crazy? You think that would be ok with your parents? or is that too long? let me know! K
I LOVE YOU!!!
i have been hard core praying for you! I hope all is super well!
Con mucho cariño
Luis
PS:
I hope you know I wasnt serious about that long... that would be too long for my parents to allow! Im actually thinking more like 2 weeks or so. Which is what beth said your parents would be ok with.
LOVE YOU!
