Dear Friends,
Today was a resting day in the City of Cusco, which is about 24 hours by bus away from Lima. Thankfully, my team and I were able to find good plane tickets, and though we had to leave at 3:30 am this morning from the Mochileros Hostel we were staying at to make our 5:50 am flight, it was better than a Peruvian bus through the mountains with a sick and puking Justin...poor guy. WE got to Cusco Airport and were blessed to run into a family taxista who brought us back to the Plaza de Armas and hooked us up with a private family who rents out rooms. Justin needed to recouperate, and Amy and I needed some time to talk and work our new details and roles and struggles with new transitions, so we rented two rooms for the day. After Amy and I walked around Cusco´s centro and enjoyed a fascinating convento-musuem, we bought some random clothing articles for the cold (well, I did!) and decided that for Justin´s sake, we would leave tomorrow for the village of Pomacanchi, where Derek and his team are working this summer. We are looking forward to the time with them, and for the opportunity to get to know another village.
Please continue to pray for me as I seek the Lord´s heart for this coming semester.
Pray for our collective health and our indivdual prayer lives.
And pray for good altitude adjustment!!! We are preeeeeetty high up here...
Love you all
Al

Hi, Allison, this is Uncle Mark from Costa Rica (except that we are STAS until July 2). I discovered that you were in Peru when the Austins sent the list of the new REAP members. Drew was in Lima last week. He's working the summer with a J'man, Corey, on the Xtreme Team somewhere in the jungles of NE Peru. We'll be praying for you...AND Justin.
Allison,
Muchisima Gracias por su commento! Thanks for the prayers...muy amable ;) Espero que todo esta bien con ustedes. See you in Nasca! Bendiciones hermanita!!
