For those of you who are wondering...I take a lot of pictures with the Jovenes (Youth) and we are continually dreaming about using this medium to call together the Youth of the Dominican to join the Lord in What He is Doing here: Raising up a generation of Doers of the Word and Carriers of the Gospel. Sent Ones energized by the Spirit of God.
Today I spent my time with three energetic and creative youth who have launched a small design business with the purpose to "bless and motivate youth to accomplish the mission to carry the Gospel and Exault our God." We spent hours on innovative product photography that will appear on local television tomorrow. I am posting non-edited photos here, so you can get a taste. We were creative with tinfoil reflectors and make-shift studio lights, so bear with me.
So this is what I do with my time:
Zero, (because we should never give a numericial value to God) I pray. A lot.
One, I spend a lot of hours in traffic.
Two, I spend a lot of time learning Dominican Phrases. A ta la Taza, mani!
Three, I spend a lot of money on text messages to youth. this is how we communicate.
Four, I make lists of people I have met and places I have visited. (people numbering over a hundred in three weeks).
Five, I spend full days with national Christian youth, moving like they do, catching their dreams and visions, hearing their hearts. They have a lot to teach me, I have a lot to learn.
Six, I do a lot of listening and sharing.
Seven, I take fotos to promote their dreams and visons.
May God raise up a Generation of Cristianos A Ta La Taza!
(Christians filled to the brim!)
Love, al
